Job Description
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within a designated geographical area through the agency channel. This role involves leading and motivating a team of agency managers to achieve sales targets, recruit and develop agents, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area-level sales goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of agency managers.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to agency managers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
• Proven track record in sales management within the Indian life insurance industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian life insurance market and regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
