Role Overview
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales operations across a defined geographical area. The role involves team management, driving business targets, and building long-term customer and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sales executives or channel partners.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned area.
- Develop territory-wise sales strategies and monitor implementation.
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure team productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Handle client escalations, support acquisition of new clients, and retain existing ones.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
- Prepare periodic reports on performance, forecasts, and improvement plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments (marketing, logistics, etc.) for smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales leadership or territory sales roles.
- Experience in managing a team or distribution network.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and people-management skills.
- Good understanding of local geography and market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
