Job Description

The Sales Officer in Banking is responsible for acquiring new customers and promoting the bank’s products such as Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, loans, and credit cards. The role requires building strong customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Key responsibility:

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and onboard new customers through various channels such as field sales, referrals, or leads provided by the bank.
  • Product Sales: Promote and sell banking products, primarily CASA (Current Account and Savings Account), loans, credit cards, and other financial products.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to maximize sales opportunities and increase customer retention.
  • Lead Generation: Actively participate in sales campaigns and networking events to generate leads and business.
  • Cross-Selling: Upsell and cross-sell other banking services like insurance, mutual funds, and fixed deposits.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in banking, financial services, or sales is preferred.
  • Ability to handle objections and close deals.
  • Age: 21-32 years preferred.
