Job Description
A Unit Sales Manager (USM) is a front-line leadership role commonly found in the insurance industry, especially in life and health insurance. The primary responsibility of a USM is to recruit, train, and manage a team of agents or advisors, ensuring they meet sales targets and deliver high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, interview, and onboard qualified insurance advisors for the company.
- Accompany agents on client visits to support sales and build client confidence.
- Provide initial and ongoing training on products, sales techniques, compliance, and customer handling.
- Maintain detailed records of agent activity, sales performance, and adherence to IRDAI guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in sales and Marketing.
- The ideal age range is 24-40 years old.
- Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to manage a team.
